Description
Smooth and pain-free navigation
The Rollarbal Gen 2 is an ergonomic upgrade for your daily mobility. Since 2021, we have been developing this design in close collaboration with the visually impaired community. The result? A unique 360-degree mechanism that moves effortlessly with you in all directions. This prevents sudden "snagging" behind sidewalk tiles and finally makes hard, painful blows to your wrist and shoulder a thing of the past.
Lightweight comfort for every day
The ball has a diameter of 50 mm and is made of high-quality nylon. Because the Rollarbal weighs only 79 grams, it adds hardly any weight to your pole. This significantly reduces arm fatigue, even during long walks. In addition, the nylon provides pleasant, clear acoustic feedback from the ground, without the rolling sound disturbing you or your surroundings.
Does the Rollarbal fit my white cane?
We have made the connection as versatile as possible so that you can continue to use your trusted white cane. The Rollarbal is easy to attach yourself and fits the following well-known systems:
Ambutech: Fits a hook connection or a plastic threaded connection.
Svarovsky: Fits seamlessly onto the Svarovsky hook assembly thanks to the attachment piece. (if selected when ordering)

In short: with the Rollarbal, you are choosing a robust, lightweight solution that makes your daily walks safer, smoother, and physically much more comfortable.

I think it's a big improvement because the rollarball clearly indicates what you feel on the ground, such as the difference between grass, gravel, or tiles. Or the difference between a sidewalk slope and a regular slope.
The advantage is that you can clearly feel edges and slopes, and you can easily tell the difference between hard surfaces and grass.
It's also great that you don't have to exert any force to roll forward.
I also walked with the prototype for a year, which was also good, but I find the material of the production model slightly nicer and it now makes less noise, just enough for you to hear yourself but not so much that everyone hears you coming.

It works much better because you don't have to move your white cane from left to right as much. This reduces pain in your hands.

I have been using the roller for six weeks now and am very satisfied. The ball is light and rolls very easily, while still providing good ground contact, even on rougher terrain. However, you can no longer lean on the stick, because then it rolls away, which takes some getting used to. I am happy with it.

I find the roller works best on sand, heathland, and in forests because the other tip gets stuck there. This model also fits perfectly on the pole. The first version seemed loose and got stuck more often. I'm glad I have this one.

Good design, you can really feel where you're walking, the surface is very easy to recognize, the only thing that's a bit tricky is in residential areas where they use a lot of gutters in the street. Sometimes you don't notice that you're stepping into a gutter and then you twist your foot, but you get used to it. A real improvement over a spike or other disc or something similar.

The Rollarbal is fantastic!
It is very maneuverable, has not worn out yet, and has not fallen off our cane. My partner has a hearing impairment, and despite the rattling, she can still hear her surroundings clearly. It takes some getting used to the fact that you cannot lean on it or put it down anywhere, but perhaps this is also an advantage, because it is better for your cane! 🙂
Apart from that, it's great. We arrive at our destination feeling much less tired. It's a fantastic invention! Thank you very much.

I find the rollarbal easy to walk with. Especially now that the streets are starting to fill up with autumn leaves again.
I find the weight disappointing. I find it harder to lift my white cane (Swarovski) with the rollarbal.

For years, walking with a cane in the dark was a disaster. I live in a city with many uneven sidewalks and streets. In the dark, my cane with a roller tip from the pre-roll era kept getting caught on things. It drove me crazy (and really, I'm an aggressive, temperamental type). That's now pretty much a thing of the past. Furthermore, the cane rolls nicely, which is just fun and enjoyable. Compare that to the embarrassing experience of getting caught on something several times per walk and sometimes even getting the cane in your ribs because of the momentum you have.
What's more, after a year, it still hasn't worn out! It's also great that it's available for multiple cane brands.
I think the design is ingenious. It's also cool that Rollar was designed in collaboration with users. For me, my cane with Rollar tip is now the Rolls Royce of tactile canes. The only downside I find is that the narrow slot sometimes collects dirt. That happened a few times, especially in the beginning. It seems to happen less now, but once there was quite a bit of dirt on the cane. I rolled it through a puddle and luckily it was gone. It's a shame that World Wide Vision doesn't sell your cane. Because of that, people who don't know you may not be aware of the Rollar's existence.
Thank you very much!
Idea for other co-creations:
Affordable and practical cane light. There is a light available for Ambutech canes, but I find it very expensive and inconvenient that it needs to be recharged after only 45 minutes of use.

I am extremely satisfied with the rolarbal. It rolls really well on different surfaces. You can really feel everything thanks to this stick point that maintains good contact with the surface.

I've been using the Rollarbal Quiet for a week now and I'm very happy with it! It makes less noise, which is nice. It rolls smoothly and was easy to assemble. I can't yet assess how durable it is, as I haven't been using it long enough. But so far, I'm very satisfied! Because I can't yet assess all aspects, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars!

I've been using it for a few weeks now. I can see some wear and tear, but I do think it will last longer than a standard ball. It feels and sounds very different when you use it, which takes some getting used to. It does make it easier to feel the difference between surfaces. The disadvantages are that when you get off a bus or train, for example, and you feel where you are stepping on the platform or sidewalk with your cane, the cane also rolls quickly. In addition, you can't lean the cane against anything because it will roll over
, so if you are used to putting your weight on your cane, this ball is not suitable for you.

I am very satisfied with the new Rollarbal. The first thing I noticed is that the Rollarbal is very quiet. This allows you to hear other traffic much better.
In addition, it rolls much more smoothly across the ground thanks to the ingenious 360-degree system. Going down stairs has also become much easier with the Rollarbal. With the handrail in one hand and your cane in the other, the Rollarbal rolls effortlessly down the steps.
The surface is also no problem for the Rollarbal. Whether it's a smooth floor in the office, carpet in the theater, or rough stones on the street, it continues to roll smoothly. Even through loose sand.
In short, a blind person with vision chooses Rollarbal.

I've been using it for about three months now and I love it. With this roller, you can walk for miles without getting tired and without the stick getting stuck anywhere. Occasionally, dirt does get stuck in the groove of the Rollarbal.

In short, we are very happy with it.
Lya –
Very nice ball, especially in the old town with its fine cobblestones.
Jill –
The ball rolls smoothly at first. It is slightly heavier than the average stick tip, but because it rolls, I don't find that a problem. However, after two months of use, I am already noticing wear and tear. The ball wears down unevenly, causing it to wobble. Sometimes it doesn't roll immediately when you want to start walking. You really have to roll it over the street a few times before it rolls again as intended. This makes me wonder whether this tip is really as durable as claimed. The fact that the ball can roll 360 degrees is super handy and makes me give the product four stars, but I'm hesitating between 3 and 4 stars because I don't think the price is in proportion to the quality. The tip wears out quickly.

My son is super happy with the new, quieter Rollarbal!
It rolls well on streets and sidewalks. It rolls over thresholds and doesn't get stuck. This means you don't get any "bumps" on your shoulder.
The new version is a lot quieter, so not everyone can hear you coming from afar.
My son was happy with the first Rollarbal, but this one is definitely his favorite!

I have been using the Rollarbal for about five months now. I am very satisfied with it. It rolls very easily to the left and right, which puts less strain on your arm and shoulder. It also works well on sandy terrain or in forests, or over autumn leaves. I use the black rubber cap on it, which also makes it quieter, which is a relief, especially for overstimulation or to be able to hear the rest of the environment properly. I am a fan and very happy with it. The seller's service is also excellent! In short, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
